      The Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Tatarstan has approved the indictment in the criminal case against 14 citizens. They are accused under Part 2 of Article 210 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (organization of a criminal community), Part 4 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (fraud), subparagraphs "a" and "b" of Part 3 of Article 163 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (extortion), subparagraph "a" of Part 3 of Article 126 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (kidnapping), Part 2 of Article 213 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (hooliganism), and Part 2 of Article 167 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (intentional destruction or damage to property). According to the investigation, members of youth criminal groups and other unidentified individuals conspired with representatives of foreign "call centers" specializing in remote fraud. The goal was to jointly commit crimes aimed at stealing money from citizens. In 2020, the accused created a criminal community called "Vtorye Gorki," which operated in the Republic of Tatarstan and other regions. As part of the agreements reached, from December 2020 to February 2024, unidentified employees of the "call centers," using phone calls, deceived 15 citizens from 11 regions of Russia. They convinced people to transfer money to "safe accounts," which actually belonged to members of the criminal community "Vtorye Gorki," or gained access to the victims' personal accounts in banking applications through deception. As a result of the criminal actions of the accomplices, more than 35 million rubles were stolen. Additionally, members of the criminal community, acting as an organized group, extorted a total of 108,000 rubles and kidnapped a person with the aim of further extorting 2.6 million rubles from him. The members of the criminal community "Vtorye Gorki" and other individuals, using reinforcement bars and stun guns, inflicted bodily harm on five members of the "Novotatarskie" group and damaged a KIA K5 car, causing the victim damages amounting to more than 1.8 million rubles. For 11 of the accused, a preventive measure in the form of detention has been chosen, for 3 – house arrest, and for 1 – a prohibition of certain actions.
