Shooting competitions in memory of Major Sergey Petrushenko have started in Zainsk.

Sergey Ivanovich taught the basics of life safety at school No. 7 for many years and was a mentor to hundreds of students. At the age of 58, he was called up as part of partial mobilization and went to defend his homeland. For his courage and selflessness, he was awarded the Order of Courage, medals "For Valor" of II and IV degrees, "For Military Merit," the badge "Participant of the Special Military Operation," the badge of distinction "For Merits to the Donetsk People's Republic," as well as the medal of the Order "For Merits to the Republic of Tatarstan." At the opening ceremony, the head of the education department, Milyaushа Valiakhmetova, addressed the participants. She emphasized that the competitions are being held for the first time and will become a good tradition for the district, and Sergey Petrushenko's name will forever remain a symbol of courage, fidelity to duty, and dedication to the profession. Twenty-two teams from educational institutions in the district are participating in the tournament. Each team consists of three people — two boys and one girl. The winners will receive a traveling cup.
