In Kazan, the third labor semester of student teams in the agricultural field has been launched.

      The third labor semester of student agricultural teams from Tatarstan has started in Kazan. At the ceremony, honored guests, employers, and veterans of the movement presented students with vouchers for the labor season, after which a solemn send-off of participants for their production practice took place. This was reported by the press service of the student teams of the Republic of Tatarstan. The rector of Kazan State Agrarian University, Ilshat Nuriyev, noted that student participation in agricultural teams not only contributes to the development of the agro-industrial complex but also provides an opportunity to gain practical skills during their studies. He emphasized that the university supports such initiatives and develops cooperation with enterprises to strengthen the personnel potential of the industry. According to him, student teams help young people not only to undergo practice but also to socialize, find an environment, and determine their future profession. In 2026, more than a thousand students will work in 13 student agricultural teams in Tatarstan. They will be employed at 52 enterprises in 28 municipal districts of the republic. Another 65 people will go to all-Russian projects in other regions of Russia, as well as to the Minsk Tractor Plant. Before going to the enterprises, students undergo professional training. In the republic, free training has been organized for them. In 2026, 702 people will complete it in 17 agricultural specialties. Thus, young specialists who are already prepared to perform real production tasks will enter production. For the first time within the framework of the movement, some students will work as agroscouts – they will operate drones equipped with cameras and artificial intelligence systems for automatic monitoring of field conditions, which expands the application of digital technologies in agriculture in Tatarstan. The director of the State Budgetary Institution "Republican Center for Student Labor Teams," Deputy Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Russian Student Teams, Vasily Islaev, noted that the participation of student teams in the work of agricultural enterprises helps to close the personnel shortage during seasonal work while simultaneously preparing future specialists. He reported that in 2025, more than 18 thousand students worked in the agricultural sector across the country. During the summer season, they harvested over 11 thousand tons of apples, cultivated more than 22 thousand hectares of land, and processed over 13 thousand tons of grain. Last year in Tatarstan, more than 700 students participated in agricultural work.

      Cooperation between agricultural universities, employers, and student teams, as noted, helps to reduce the personnel shortage and increase the prestige of agricultural professions. The development of youth employment corresponds to the goals of the national project "Youth and Children."
