      As part of the federal project "We are Together" of the national project "Youth and Children," aimed at nurturing a harmoniously developed, patriotic, and socially responsible individual based on traditional Russian spiritual, moral, and cultural-historical values, the staff of the Central Library named after S. Rafikov conducted an intellectual literary game "They Fought for the Motherland" for the students of the 5th "A" class of Zainsk Secondary School No. 4. The children seemed to embark on a journey through time. They learned about the feats of their fellow countrymen—those who became the pride of Zainsk: N.I. Maikov—Hero of the Soviet Union, whose courage became an example of valor, G.F. Larionov—Hero of the Soviet Union, who inscribed his name in the annals of Victory, A.A. Vasilyev—a full cavalier of the Order of Glory, whose name symbolizes indomitable will, A.I. Moiseeva—a legendary woman, whose feats inspire even today, M.A. Golov—the first sculptor and artist of post-war Zainsk, who served as a military commissar during those harsh years and helped restore peaceful life. But the meeting was not limited to stories. The young participants immersed themselves in the atmosphere of wartime: they deciphered a mysterious code transmitted in Morse code, learned to fold front-line letters—“triangles”—the very ones that were once awaited in every home, went through a simulation of a minefield, feeling the price paid for every inch of land, practiced first aid skills—since mercy and courage went hand in hand during the war, and finally filled the hall with the sounds of military songs—those very melodies that supported the fighting spirit of soldiers and gave strength to wait for Victory to those who remained in the rear. This day became not just a history lesson. It reminded the children that memory is not just dates and numbers. It is living stories that must be cherished, passed down from generation to generation, and never forgotten.
