Twitch has banned streamers who promoted the "Alabuga Polytechnic" college. Students are being recruited to assemble drones.
The American streaming service Twitch has blocked the accounts of streamers who were broadcasting from the Counter-Strike 2 championship hosted by "Alabuga Polytech" and promoting the college. This was reported by blogger Alexey Gubanov. According to him, the accounts of "Alabuga Polytech" itself and 14 other streamers were blocked. As reported by ESports, users were banned for 30 days, and the final decision on their accounts will be made later by Twitch moderators. The publication also states that, according to preliminary information, the reason for the bans was that the venue for the championship being streamed is under EU sanctions. It is worth noting that drones "Geran" are assembled on the territory of "Alabuga." For the needs of the factory, workers from various countries — India, Africa, Central Asia, and Latin America — have been recruited for many months. Local influencers or advertisements are used for this purpose. Analysts from the American "Foundation for the Defense of Democracies" directly call "Alabuga Start" a global channel for supplying effectively forced labor to the Russian defense industry. The fact that drones are produced in "Alabuga" is not hidden in Russia. The connection between "Alabuga Polytech" and the special economic zone is considered confirmed. In July 2025, a program on the Russian TV channel "Zvezda" (which is affiliated with the Russian Ministry of Defense) reported that a serial production of "Geran" drones has been established in the SEZ "Alabuga." The TV channel showcased the scale of assembly work involving college students. Subscribe to our channel on Telegram.
