      Self-employed individuals can receive a pension of 50,500 rubles if they pay contributions to the Social Fund amounting to 572,000 rubles annually for 30 years, said TASS Professor Alexander Safonov from the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation. The expert explained that by paying the maximum contribution annually (currently 572,204 rubles), self-employed individuals will accumulate 261 individual pension coefficients over 30 years, which will allow them to receive a pension of 50,593 rubles. However, if they make the minimum contribution annually (71,700 rubles), the pension will amount to 14,400 rubles, noted Safonov. The self-employment regime does not imply mandatory contributions to the Social Fund, the expert added. However, if a person wants to receive an insurance pension in the future, they can apply to the Social Fund and become a participant in voluntary pension insurance.
