Russians were informed who will receive a pension increase in June.

      In June, increased payments will be received by pensioners who turned 80 in May, as well as citizens who have dependents, have been assigned the first group of disability, or have been laid off from work, said Julia Finogenova, a professor at the Department of State and Municipal Finance of the G.V. Plekhanov Russian Economic University, to RIA Novosti. She noted that in June, a number of categories of citizens will gain the right to an increased pension. In particular, the fixed payment as part of the insurance pension will be increased to 19,169.38 rubles for those who turned 80 in May, as well as for citizens who have been assigned a disability of the first group. In addition, first group disabled individuals are entitled to a care allowance of 1,413.86 rubles, Finogenova specified. The expert clarified that the increase in the fixed payment is made once and only on one basis. According to her, if a citizen has already been assigned a pension for a first group disability, then after reaching the age of 80, no additional increase is provided. According to Finogenova, working pensioners who ceased their employment in May may also be eligible for an increase. In this case, the increased pension, taking into account all indexations, is usually paid at the beginning of the month following the dismissal, provided that a positive decision is made by the Social Fund of Russia (SFR). As Finogenova noted, thirdly, this applies to pensioners who have dependents—such as children under 18, disabled children aged 18 to 23, as well as siblings and grandchildren under 18. Provided that a corresponding application is submitted to the Social Fund of Russia (SFR), they will be able to receive additional payments starting in June. The expert explained that the amount of such payments is determined as an allowance to the fixed part of the pension for each dependent, but not for more than three people.
