During an inspection of one of the airlines, the Tatar Transport Prosecutor's Office found that it sold an extra ticket for a flight from Kazan to Moscow. This happened in February 2026.
It turned out that due to overbooking, one of the passengers could not board the plane, even though he had fully paid for the ticket. As a result, he had to reach the capital by another aircraft.
"In this regard, a proposal was submitted to the head of the airline demanding measures to prevent such violations of passenger rights in the future," reports the press service of the Volga Transport Prosecutor's Office. The supervisory authority sent the materials of its inspection to Rospotrebnadzor, where the airline was also fined for providing services that did not meet the requirements of regulatory legal acts. The carrier was fined 30,000 rubles.
