In the Lyadsky Garden of Kazan, a relief titled "The Loving Little Cafe" has appeared.
A new art object has appeared in the historical part of the city. The relief was created by the art community "33+1" in collaboration with the local media "Krot Kazansky" as part of a project dedicated to historical figures and stories of Kazan. The plot is based on a story from the late 18th century. In May 1798, Emperor Paul I visited Kazan. Among his entourage was a baptized Turkish coffee maker who brewed coffee for the sovereign. During a walk in Lyadsky Garden, he met a maid of the Buligin nobles and fell in love. Upon learning of this, the emperor ordered the couple to be married and gifted the young couple two thousand rubles. The relief is made using the sgraffito technique from cement. A total of eight monumental reliefs inspired by urban legends have been installed in Kazan.
