"There are seasonal activities of scammers. For example, in spring they use methods like flower delivery: a supposed courier calls and asks for a code from an SMS, which is actually a code from State Services. Today, scammers also choose informational reasons for their traps. Unfortunately, our citizens fall for it and click on the links. For instance, a message may come supposedly from a management company with a link to the hot water shutdown schedule. Similar messages can arrive when entering a university and other seasonal reasons. We ask everyone to be vigilant," he said. By clicking on the link, a person ends up on the scammers' phishing site, through which a virus may infect the user's device.
