In the Kazan metro, 89 lighting lamps were replaced in two weeks.

      Over the past two weeks, specialists from the Municipal Unitary Enterprise "Metroelektrotrans" replaced 89 LED lamps in the tunnels of the Kazan metro. The work was carried out on the connecting branches from the "Ametyevo" station to the electric depot. Additionally, the lighting at the "Kremlovskaya" station was updated: the lighting of the steps of the exit staircase No. 3 was repaired, and 14 outdated fixtures were replaced with LED floodlights. The company's employees also performed maintenance on the equipment at 11 combined traction substations. Preventive maintenance of the automatic irrigation system was conducted on the Alley of Glory: 36 sprinklers were cleaned, the pumping equipment was checked, and a test run of the system was performed. More than 38 meters of thermal insulation on water pipes were replaced on the sections between the "Kremlovskaya" and "G. Tukay Square" stations, reported the Municipal Unitary Enterprise "Metroelektrotrans." The agency reminded that the company manages 132 km of tram tracks and 313 km of the contact network for trams and trolleybuses. Despite the ongoing infrastructure renewal work, approximately 9 billion rubles are needed for the modernization of tracks, substations, and cable systems of ground electric transport.

      Currently, there are 30 traction substations operating in the city, providing power to rolling stock. However, a significant portion of the infrastructure remains worn out: 131 km of the contact network and 35 km of cable lines require major repairs, and four traction substations need reconstruction.
