Tatarstan has entered the top 10 destinations for vacation on Russia Day.

      Tatarstan has entered the top ten most popular destinations for the June holidays, ranking seventh among all regions of Russia. The republic accounts for 4% of the total number of bookings in the country. This was reported to Tatar-inform by experts from the "Ostrovok" service. In the capital of the republic, Kazan, the number of bookings increased by 6% compared to the same period last year. Most often, couples without children come to Tatarstan for the long June weekends, making up 49% of visitors. Another 21% of travelers go on trips with children, 17% of bookings are made by groups of friends, and 13% are for solo tourists. The most sought-after accommodation option in the republic has become apartments, accounting for 41% of all bookings. Another 27% of tourists choose unstarred hotels, with demand for this type of accommodation increasing by 5% year-on-year. Three-star hotels occupy 12% of the market, while four-star hotels account for 7%. Two-star hotels make up 4% of bookings, and guest houses and hostels each account for 3%. The share of one-star and five-star hotels is 1% each. Meanwhile, residents of Tatarstan predominantly choose domestic travel for the Russia Day weekend: 85% of bookings are for Russian destinations, while 15% are for foreign ones.

      The most popular domestic destinations for residents of Tatarstan are St. Petersburg, Moscow, Nizhny Novgorod, Gelendzhik, and Sirius. Among foreign destinations, the top five include Abkhazia, Belarus, Armenia, Uzbekistan, and Georgia.
