After a brief cold snap and frosts that hit the region last weekend, comfortable and summery warm weather is set to return to the Republic of Tatarstan starting Wednesday, however, forecasters warn of the ongoing extreme fire hazard.
According to the Hydrometeorological Center of the Republic of Tatarstan, today, May 13, variable cloudiness is expected in the republic, with occasional light and moderate short-term rains, and the speed of the southwest wind will range from 6 to 11 meters per second with gusts up to 14 meters per second. At night, thermometers will show from plus 10 to plus 15 degrees, the maximum daytime temperature will be a comfortable plus 18-23 degrees, and in the eastern regions of the republic, the air will warm up to plus 27 degrees. On Thursday, May 14, the weather will not change significantly: at night, there will still be a chance of light precipitation in some areas, the wind will blow with an intensity of 5-10 meters per second with gusts up to 12 meters per second, and nighttime temperatures will be plus 9-14 degrees, while during the day the air will warm up to a confident plus 22-27 degrees. By Friday, May 15, the influence of the anticyclone will strengthen, and sunny, dry, and increasingly hot weather without significant precipitation will settle in the republic: with a moderate wind, nighttime temperatures will be plus 9-14 degrees, and during the day, thermometers will rise to plus 24-29 degrees. At the same time, the Hydrometeorological Center of Tatarstan announced the extension of the previously issued storm warning. The extreme fire hazard of class four will remain across the entire territory of the republic from May 13 to May 18 inclusive, which requires citizens to exercise utmost caution when handling fire and visiting forested areas. It was reported the day before that Tatarstan plans to release a new, the first edition of the Red Book in almost 10 years, which will be published for the first time also in the Tatar language, and although no revolutionary changes in the protective lists are expected, the very dynamics of the state of nature gives scientists many reasons for reflection.
