       The labor market in Tatarstan has developed a paradoxical situation where the number of available job vacancies far exceeds the number of officially registered unemployed, and the main task of the authorities becomes not so much employment as saturating the economy with qualified personnel.

       As reported by the Minister of Labor, Employment, and Social Protection of the Republic of Tatarstan, Elmira Zaripova, at the XVII International Economic Forum "Russia – Islamic World: KazanForum," only in the last week, one and a half thousand new vacancies were opened in the region, and their total number currently exceeds 50 thousand. Her words are quoted by RBC. At the same time, the number of officially registered unemployed in employment agencies is only 3,700 people, which allows the employment service to offer each job seeker up to 14 job positions to choose from. According to Zaripova, in conditions of acute staff shortages and record low unemployment, the development of human resources and industrial potential becomes the number one issue that the employment service is actively working on. The agency focuses not only on working with the unemployed but also offers retraining programs, skills enhancement, and the choice of a second, related profession to meet the needs of enterprises. At the same time, the ministry is closely working with employers to ensure they provide competitive and attractive job vacancies that job seekers will respond to. A few days ago, it was reported that the share of unprofitable enterprises in Tatarstan has increased. According to Tatarstanstat, in January-February of this year, the share of such organizations reached 30.5% of the total number of registered companies.
