Rustam Minnikhanov reminded that the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin, declared 2026 the Year of National Unity. "For centuries, our multinational people have worked together and celebrated significant events together. The spring-summer period of traditional cultural festivals is now opened by the Russian folk festival 'Karavon', which will take place in the Laishevsky district," said the Head of the Republic. In Tatarstan, republican festivals of Mari culture 'Semyk', Tatar Sabantuy, Mordovian 'Valda shinyas', Udmurt 'Gyron bydton', Slavic 'Ivan Kupala', Chuvash 'Uyav', the holiday of Koryashen culture 'Pitrau', and a children's Muslim Sabantuy will also take place. The Head of Tatarstan instructed the heads of municipalities, the Ministry of Culture of the Republic, and the Assembly of Peoples of Tatarstan to organize festive events in cooperation with law enforcement agencies, ensuring the safety of their conduct.

      Moreover, Rustam Minnikhanov reminded that on May 27, Muslims will celebrate Kurban Bayram. According to him, festive services and religious rituals will take place in the republic over three days. "The Spiritual Administration of Muslims of the Republic, municipal entities, and law enforcement agencies should ensure public order and safety during the festive services," he emphasized.
