Today in the village of Nikolskoye, one of the main events in the cultural life of the republic is taking place — the republican festival of Russian folklore "Karavon."
This year, the festival is being held for the 34th time. The organizers promise that no one will be bored. There will be 12 thematic venues operating in the village. More than 200 folklore groups from different regions of Russia will perform on several stages. There is still a little time left before the grand opening, but Nikolskoye is already bustling with people.
Trade rows, souvenir shops are open, and artists are preparing for their performances. Many spectators come to the Russian folklore festival every year and return here again and again because each year they discover something new and get acquainted with the traditions of their ancestors.
