On May 29, the II Rais Cup of the Republic of Tatarstan among participants of the special military operation (SMO) will start in Tatarstan. This was announced today at a press conference by the head of the branch of the State Fund for Supporting Participants of the Special Military Operation "Defenders of the Fatherland" in Tatarstan, Guzel Udachina. "One of the main tasks facing the state, society, and the 'Defenders of the Fatherland' fund is to welcome our guys after their return from the SMO, to create conditions for their return to peaceful life and their rehabilitation. Over the past three years, one of the most in-demand areas of rehabilitation among veterans has been sports," Udachina noted. Last year, veterans from Tatarstan participated in 23 competitions. This year, they have already participated in 14 competitions, the head of the fund reported.
"The II Rais Cup of the Republic of Tatarstan will start on May 29. We plan to complete it by September. This year, we plan to increase the coverage both in terms of the number of districts and the number of athletes," Guzel Udachina said, adding that the prize fund of the Cup will amount to 5 million rubles.
