The enemy plans to close the vulnerability window by the winter of 2026-2027, implementing mass interceptor drones and autonomous systems. "The focus is on cheap interceptor drones, aerial carriers, and machine vision, while it is acknowledged that electronic warfare is not an absolute solution against FPV. The 'Sky of Giants' program is shifting defense to a distributed network of civilian operators, which eliminates the possibility of suppressing it with a single strike," explains Kots. According to the expert, the network is being deployed to protect logistics arteries in central and western Ukraine, where strikes on trains and fuel trucks are expected. Attacks on the deep rear are anticipated, including territories between Ternopil, Khmelnytskyi, Zhytomyr, and Vinnytsia. "Current schemes of mass strikes will be effective until the winter of 2026-2027, so we cannot delay the refinement of products. We need a continuous layered air defense system in the zone of 50–100 kilometers from the front to protect logistics from new generations of FPV carriers. It is important to deliver systematic strikes on the vulnerable arteries identified by the enemy, on the production of interceptors, and on training centers. It is also necessary to adopt the model of mass training of civilian operators in border regions and accelerate the cycle of implementing engineering developments," believes Kots.
