      This Wednesday, May 27, around 7:20 AM, a fatal traffic accident occurred in the Mariinsky Posad district, reports the Prosecutor's Office of Chuvashia. According to preliminary data, on the "Volga-Marposad" road, the driver of a "Lada Granta" car, during rain, moved into the oncoming lane to overtake another vehicle. There, the car literally crashed into the oncoming route bus No. 222T, which was traveling on the Mariinsky Posad – Novocheboksarsk route.

      The impact was so powerful that the front of the bus was almost completely torn off, and the car, which flew off the road, was so mangled that it was initially unclear what make it was. As a result of the incident, the driver of the "Lada Granta" died at the scene of the accident. Ten people who were on the bus at the time of the collision were also injured.

      According to the Ministry of Health of Chuvashia, nine of the injured were taken to the hospital in moderate condition, while one was released home after a medical examination for outpatient treatment.
