Students of "Alabuga Polytechnic" planted 250 poplars in the industrial zone of Nizhnekamsk.

      The event is dedicated to the International Day for Biological Diversity. Students of the Alabuga Polytechnic Educational Center participated in a large-scale ecological campaign for greening Nizhnekamsk. As part of the campaign, 250 pyramidal poplars were planted in the area of Sobolekovskaya Street, which is the main thoroughfare leading to the industrial part of the city. Before the work began, all participants underwent mandatory training on proper seedling planting to ensure their survival. The top management of the Alabuga Special Economic Zone and the leadership of the city of Nizhnekamsk also took part in the greening efforts. They delivered welcoming remarks and kicked off the campaign by planting the first seedling. "I hope that such small, yet very important actions will strengthen the connection with this wonderful city and we will definitely repeat them," said Ainur Kadyrov, head of the legal service of the Alabuga Special Economic Zone. The organizers note that the planted exclusive non-fluffy varieties of poplars are characterized by high oxygen-producing capacity and minimal fluff spread, making them particularly suitable for urban environments. Student Eva Rogova from Alabuga Polytechnic shared her impressions of the work done and the goals of the campaign. "We participated in an ecological campaign to green the industrial area: we planted high-quality non-fluffy pyramidal poplars — they are fire-safe and do not cause inconvenience. I want this place to be a beautiful green alley instead of a wasteland, with fresh air and pleasant experiences for the residents. I am glad to be part of this good deed," Eva reported.
