What will Tatarstan be like in 2027: interim results of the large-scale voting for public spaces

      In the republic, a large-scale electronic survey is underway for the territories that will be transformed as part of the national project. More than 391 thousand concerned citizens have already cast their votes for new recreational areas, and the selection process will continue until June 12. The interim results of the campaign for selecting public spaces were summarized by the head of the Ministry of Construction of the republic, Marat Aizatullin. As reported by the press service of the Rais of Tatarstan, speaking at a specialized meeting in the Government House of Tatarstan, the Minister of Construction, Architecture, and Housing and Utilities announced that by the end of May, 391,986 people had participated in the voting. All of them are deciding the fate of the facilities, the reconstruction and updating of which are planned for 2027. A total of 178 locations located in various urban districts and municipalities of the region have been presented to the public. In addition, the list for voting has been supplemented with 20 territories that were previously selected by the residents themselves during a preliminary survey on the "Gosuslugi" portal. The rules for participation are extremely simple: everyone has the right to support only one recreational area by making their choice on a special website. Voting can be done for a facility in absolutely any district of Tatarstan, regardless of the place of registration. It is worth noting that the online campaign started on April 21 and will end on June 12. This initiative is being implemented under the auspices of the federal program "Formation of a Comfortable Urban Environment," which, in turn, is an integral part of the large-scale national project "Infrastructure for Life."
