       In the Republic of Tatarstan, a real demographic breakthrough has occurred over the past thirteen years, with the number of families raising three or more children increasing by 142.6 percent.

       According to RBC, citing a statement from the Minister of Labor, Employment, and Social Protection of the Republic of Tatarstan Elmira Zaripova, if in 2013 there were only 24.4 thousand large families raising 78 thousand children in the republic, by the current year of 2026, their number has already reached 59.2 thousand, with a total of 189.2 thousand children in them. Since 2000, 1.5 thousand women in the republic have been awarded the high state honor – the medal "Ana dany – Maternal Glory" for giving birth to and raising five or more children, and another 18 families, totaling 33 individuals, received the medal "Parental Valor," established in 2022, for raising seven or more children. Zaripova emphasized that all large families in the region receive government support regardless of their income level, and for families raising ten or more children, there is an exclusive measure in the form of a free minibus – in 2025, 6 such families received vehicles, and this year it is planned to provide 5 more. It should be noted that in 2026, by the decision of the head of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, payments for residents of villages and rural areas for childbirth were increased: for the birth of the first child under the age of 25, the payment rose from 50 to 100 thousand rubles, and for the third and subsequent children, rural mothers now receive 200 thousand rubles. This support measure has been in effect since 2018, and during this time, a total of 16.2 thousand women have already benefited from it. Recently, it was reported that over the past five years, the youth population in Tatarstan has decreased.
