"Tatar-inform" announces the start of the photo contest "Festive Sabantuy - 2026"
In Tatarstan, the season of Sabantuy begins. The celebrations will take place in villages and district centers of the republic on June 6 and 7. In Naberezhnye Chelny and Almetyevsk, Sabantuy will be celebrated on June 13, and in Kazan – on June 20. In honor of the beloved national holiday, "Tatar-inform" is launching a photo contest "Festive Sabantuy – 2026." Participants will be able to showcase the beauty of national costumes and share the traditions of their family and people. To participate, it is necessary to post a family photo in national costume on "VKontakte" with the hashtag #FestiveSabantuy2026 by June 26. The photo may include spouses, parents with children, siblings, as well as grandparents. The family name and city (district of residence) must also be indicated. Only photos taken in 2026 at Sabantuy celebrations will be accepted for the contest. No more than one entry per family will be accepted. Photos of individual participants or creative teams will not be included in the contest. During the contest, the participant's profile on "VKontakte" must be open for viewing. National costumes of any peoples can be represented in the photos. The contest will take place in two stages. First, an expert commission will select up to 30 best photos. On July 1, they will be published on the "Tatar-inform" website, where readers will be able to vote for their favorite works and determine the winners. In case of vote manipulation during the voting process, the work may be disqualified from the contest. The results of the photo contest will be announced on July 8 – on the Day of Family, Love, and Fidelity. Three winners will receive valuable prizes, and their names will be published on the website and social media of "Tatar-inform."
