A 19-year-old girl who killed three people in a car accident has been sentenced in Tatarstan.

      A verdict has been issued in the case of a terrible traffic accident in the Leninogorsk district of Tatarstan, with a 19-year-old girl recognized as guilty. This was reported by the press service of the Leninogorsk city court. Recall that the fatal accident occurred on the morning of August 2, 2025. The 19-year-old girl, driving a "Lada," lost control while taking a turn and veered into oncoming traffic. At that moment, she collided with an Opel Mokka. As a result of the accident, a 16-year-old and a 22-year-old passenger of the "Lada" died at the scene, while a 17-year-old passenger of the domestic car died in the Bugulminsk Central District Hospital. Additionally, an 18-year-old passenger of the "Lada" sustained serious injuries, and a 15-year-old passenger suffered moderate injuries. The 39-year-old passenger in the foreign car sustained minor injuries. The materials of the criminal case note that the girl was driving with five passengers in a five-seater vehicle. Furthermore, she was transporting them without seatbelts.

      "The defendant did not admit guilt. She is characterized positively. At the time of the accident, she had three months of driving experience, while she had no experience driving on highways," the press service of the city court stated. The girl was sentenced to 4 years in a settlement colony and deprived of her driver's license for three years. Additionally, the civil claims of the victims were satisfied in the amount of 4.5 million rubles.
