The cooperation agreement was signed today at the Ice Palace of the automotive city by the director of the Chelny club, Eldar Gimadiev, and the general director of the Nizhnekamsk club, Igor Larionov. According to the president of HC "Chelny," Farid Salakhov, discussions about partnership between the clubs have been ongoing for a long time, and since 2016, there have been two attempts to formalize the cooperation officially.
"Neftekhimik" believes that the agreement will help in the development of young hockey players. This is not only about joint training sessions but also about providing players with opportunities to gain playing experience and grow in a competitive environment. "The greatest potential of this alliance lies in the development of youth hockey. The integration of infrastructural resources, the exchange of professional coaching competencies, and the joint organization of training and competitive processes for young athletes can create a new, more powerful, and effective ecosystem for training hockey personnel in the Republic of Tatarstan," noted Larionov. Currently, nine hockey players from Naberezhnye Chelny are training at the youth school of "Neftekhimik." In turn, three graduates of the Nizhnekamsk club play for HC "Chelny."
