Hanoi and Kazan will exchange experience in the field of metro construction.

      Hanoi and Kazan will exchange experiences in the field of construction and development of the metro. This agreement was reached during a meeting between Kazan Mayor Ilsur Metshin and the Secretary of the Hanoi City Party Committee, Tran Duc Thang, at the City Hall, as reported by the press center of the city administration. During the negotiations, the Kazan side presented key performance indicators of the metro system and discussed approaches to its development. Special attention was given to digital solutions and the organization of public transport system operations. Currently, Kazan has one metro line that is approximately 17 km long with 11 stations. Since its operation, the system has transported about 500 million passengers. In 2025, the passenger flow exceeded 40 million people. It is also noted that the Kazan metro became the first fully digital metro in Russia and was one of the first to implement cashless fare payment. The Hanoi side, in turn, presented its own experience in metro development. The city already has over 20 km of metro lines, with another approximately 80 km under construction. In the future, there are plans to form a network of 22 lines with a total length of about 1,200 km. The parties confirmed their interest in further cooperation and the development of practice exchange in the transport sector.
