The reconstruction of the bridge over the Big Cheremshan River near the village of Urnyak is 90 percent complete.
During the final stage of construction work, the head of the Nurlat district, Damir Ishkineev, personally inspected the site. The work under the republican program "Construction and reconstruction of roads and bridge structures," implemented within the framework of the large-scale national project "Infrastructure for Life," started here in May 2025 and is confidently approaching completion today. To date, the bridge builders have completed the main volume of heavy work: the installation of reinforced concrete beams for the span structure has been fully completed, reinforcement, formwork installation, and concreting of monolithic sections have been carried out, as well as the strengthening of slopes with gabions. In addition, the builders have finished the installation of transition slabs, the installation of barrier fences, leveling and grinding of concrete surfaces for waterproofing. The access road to the village of Urnyak is already fully covered with modern asphalt concrete, and new street lighting poles have been installed along it. At this stage, 16 qualified workers are continuously working on the site. "The work is 90 percent complete," said the foreman of the contracting organization "Mostovik," Konstantin Prokhorov. "Currently, we are tying Reno mattresses using rubble stone, and we are also working on the sand and gravel base for the approaches to the bridge. Among the remaining tasks are to complete the installation of final barrier fences, apply road markings, install signs, and completely dismantle the structure of the temporary detour road." According to the foreman, to carry out the main work, builders had to temporarily narrow the riverbed. The process of widening it and returning it to its original state is now being launched, so the local ecosystem and aquatic flora and fauna are not threatened. The construction of this strategically important facility is under strict and constant control of the district leadership. The head of the district, Damir Ishkineev, together with the head of the executive committee, Asgatem Gabdullin, and relevant specialists, thoroughly studied the current results at the construction site. "This bridge is a long-awaited facility for the residents of the village of Urnyak and, in general, for the entire Burmetyevsky rural settlement. The previous structure was old, heavily worn, and during the spring flood, it regularly flooded, cutting people off from transportation. Very soon, full traffic is planned to be opened on the new bridge. The work has been done qualitatively, conscientiously, and thoroughly, for which I express my sincere gratitude to the builders. Thank you to the President of the Republic of Tatarstan, Rustam Nurgalievich Minnikhanov, for the support and allocation of targeted funds for the construction of this important facility. The total cost of the bridge crossing and access roads amounted to 486 million rubles," emphasized Damir Ishkineev.
