On June 21, 2026, on the 3rd Sunday after Pentecost, the day of remembrance of the great martyr Theodore Stratilates (319), Bishop Methodius of Almetyevsk and Bugulma led the Divine Liturgy at the Church of the Protection of the Most Holy Theotokos in the village of Stary Kuvak, Leninogorsk district.
His Grace was assisted by the secretary of the Almetyevsk diocese, protodeacon John Antipov, the dean of the Leninogorsk district, and the rector of the Protection Church, priest Konstantin Petryaev.
On Sunday, parishioners and pilgrims prayed in the church. Many believers received the Holy Mysteries today.
At the end of the Liturgy, the Bishop congratulated the clergy and parishioners on the Sunday and wished for special help from our Most Holy Lady, the Mother of God and Ever-Virgin Mary, joy in unity and love of the Lord, God's grace, and the protection of the Queen of Heaven, and bestowed his blessing.
After the service in the village of Stary Kuvak, Bishop Methodius performed a moleben at the site of the church in honor of the Protection of the Most Holy Theotokos, which was destroyed in the last century and is now the village cultural center.
