      The Republic has entered the TOP-5 in terms of the number of entrepreneurs engaged in the medical field. Three percent of the total number of medical SMEs in Russia operate in Tatarstan. This is the fifth result in terms of the number of businesses in medicine in the country. As of May 2026, there were over 190,000 small and medium enterprises functioning in Tatarstan. Of these, about 2,200 are engaged in medical production and services.

      It should be noted that to support and develop entrepreneurship in various sectors, Tatarstan has a comprehensive set of regional financial support programs for businesses, including loans at reduced rates, leasing, and guarantee products, based on the principles of partnership financing. Additionally, businesses in the republic have access to a package of non-financial support measures that address entrepreneurial needs at different stages of company maturity—from training programs to exporting products.

      As of early May this year, Tatarstan's businesses received support amounting to about 20 billion rubles, of which 18.4 billion rubles were federal and 1.2 billion rubles were republican.

      Entrepreneurs are assisted by the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan and its subordinate development institutions under the national project "Effective and Competitive Economy."
