The update of the local history museum in Verkhny Uslon is being carried out under the supervision of United Russia members.

      Work is being carried out as part of the public program of "United Russia."

      The local history museum of the Upper Uslon district was established in 2001 at the initiative of the public and local administration. It is located on the second floor of the "Volga" cinema, in a building constructed in 1958. The museum has two exhibition halls – 128 and 48 square meters, and the museum's collection holds more than 8,500 items and materials. Currently, a major renovation is underway. The deputy secretary of the Upper Uslon local branch of the "United Russia" party, Sergey Osianin, familiarized himself with the progress of the work on the public program project.

      The museum's renovation became possible thanks to the support of the Republic of Tatarstan. The republic's budget allocated 66 million rubles for modernization.

      At the moment, the foundation has been fully reinforced, and facade work is ongoing. Workers have replaced the windows and floor on the second floor, installed new heating and electrical systems, and are working on connecting to the sewage system. Pre-finishing work is also underway on the second floor, with walls being prepared for painting and preparations for replacing the staircases have begun.

      The updated museum will feature a cloakroom and modern restrooms. After the renovation, the facility will be accessible to people with limited mobility.

      All work is planned to be completed by Republic Day.

      While communicating with the museum staff, Osianin noted the historical significance of the building and suggested expanding the exhibition concept.

      "The local history museum is a historically important object for the entire district. It is very important to preserve the memory of people, events, and achievements. I would like to specifically propose considering the creation of an exhibition dedicated to the post-Soviet period," he said.
