Victory of "Zainochki" at the festival in Japan: the Tatar dance captivated the jury

      Honored worker of culture of the Republic of Tatarstan, renowned choreographer Lydia Ivanovna Nestyagina, participated in the international festival of ethnic arts "VIVA Matsuri." She performed as a soloist and the leader of the labor veterans' choreographic ensemble "Zainochki." The festival took place at creative venues in the People's Republic of China and in Japan. Although Lydia Nestyagina took the stage herself, the entire ensemble "Zainochki" was awarded a diploma of the I degree in the nomination "Choreography. Folk Dance." — "I am very happy that I was able to present a piece of Tatar culture to the audience — both in costume and in dance. Thank you to the organizers for the warm welcome and to everyone who supported me in the hall. The applause and smiles of the audience are the best reward," shared Lydia Nestyagina. In Tokyo, she spent five days at the International Festival of Ethnic Arts "Viva Matsuri," where she performed a Tatar dance. In addition to the performance, a sightseeing tour of Tokyo was organized for her and other festival participants, including visits to Buddhist temples, as well as excursions to the cities of Kamakura and Yokohama and to Mount Fuji.
