      In the capital of Tatarstan, the anniversary Russia – ASEAN summit began on Wednesday, during which the parties plan to sign four key documents on strategic partnership, and Russian President Vladimir Putin will hold a marathon of bilateral meetings.

      As reported by the assistant to the President of the Russian Federation, Yuri Ushakov, the Kazan Declaration will establish unified approaches to the international agenda, and the Comprehensive Action Plan until 2030 will cover specific projects in the areas of politics, security, trade, energy, transportation, agriculture, digital economy, and science. In addition, the parties will adopt joint statements on cooperation in the energy sector, RBC specifies. The day before, on June 17, Russian President Vladimir Putin arrived in Kazan to participate in the anniversary summit dedicated to the 35th anniversary of the Russia – ASEAN dialogue. In the evening, a ceremonial reception for the heads of delegations was held at the new building of the Galiaskar Kamal Theater. The main events of the summit will take place today, June 18, at the Kazan Expo exhibition center, where the plenary session was opened by the President of Russia and his Philippine counterpart Ferdinand Marcos Jr. After the open part, discussions will continue in a closed format. Summit Guests Among the high-profile guests arriving are ASEAN Secretary-General Kao Kimhourn, the Prime Ministers of Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Laos, and East Timor, the President of the Philippines, the Sultan of Brunei, the Foreign Minister of Indonesia, as well as the special representative of the President of Myanmar. It is expected that about four thousand official participants will attend the summit, who will be accommodated in thirty hotels in the city. From June 14 to 20, the streets of Pushkin, Bauman, Butlerov, Vishnevsky, Kremlin Embankment, Gorky Highway, and other central highways are closed. Individual mobility devices, pit bikes, bicycles, and even delivery robots are also banned. A complete list of restrictions has been published on the city hall's website. As previously reported, during the days of the anniversary Russia – ASEAN summit, more than 80 additional electric trains will be appointed for the uninterrupted delivery of guests and participants to the event venue. ASEAN – the Association of Southeast Asian Nations, which includes Brunei, Vietnam, Indonesia, Cambodia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Thailand, Singapore, and the Philippines. The summit in Kazan is the fifth of its kind and the first held in Russia, and it will become a crucial milestone in strengthening political, economic, and cultural cooperation between Moscow and the countries of the region. The resolution to hold the summit was signed by Vladimir Putin in April.
