A program to combat teenage smoking has been launched in Tatarstan.

      The republic has joined a federal campaign aimed at protecting children from cigarettes and vapes. The project combines sales control and educational work with parents and teachers.

      In Tatarstan, a large-scale social initiative has been launched to reduce the level of tobacco and nicotine-containing product consumption among minors. It focuses on work in schools: interactive classes for students in grades 6-11, educational events for parents and teachers. The goal is not just to prohibit but to explain and form a stable negative attitude towards harmful habits.       The Minister of Youth Affairs of Tatarstan, Azat Kadyrov, emphasized that the task is to achieve unconditional compliance with the law and implement progressive prevention methods. The head of the Public Council, Anna Sorochinskaya, added that real results are only possible with a comprehensive approach that combines control, education, and public activity. It is expected that thanks to the synergy of efforts, the level of teenage smoking in the republic will begin to decline in the near future.
