      In Kazan, in the village of Mirny on Novoselskaya Street, the first stage of the construction of a new equestrian sports complex is nearing completion. As of today, its readiness stands at 80%. The builders have completed all major works: erected brick walls, installed the roof, and laid engineering networks. The new facility will allow teenagers to engage in equestrian sports under improved conditions, and children with disabilities will receive a new arena for hippotherapy. The progress of the work was assessed by the mayor of Kazan, Ilsur Metshin.

      "We continue our systematic work to improve the sports infrastructure of our capital. Equestrian sports is a separate page in this, as it is a national sport. We visited the equestrian sports complex in the village of Mirny, which has its long-standing traditions. A large number of children train here. But it's not just about sports, hippotherapy, or inclusion; it's also about the development of equestrian tourism. We have grown to 5 million tourists. One of the most promising directions is horseback riding, especially since there is a picturesque forest near the complex. The opportunities we are creating will elevate sports activities, support inclusion, and modernize the development of equestrian tourism," emphasized the importance of creating the complex, Ilsur Metshin. As of today, construction and roofing works at the site have been completed. Workers are engaged in the interior finishing of the premises, laying the foundation of the arena, installing windows and doors, and also starting to improve the surrounding areas.

      On the territory of the equestrian sports complex, the construction of a new hippotherapy arena of nearly 3,000 square meters is nearing completion. It will feature adaptive changing rooms and showers, as well as an arena with an automatic "inflow-outflow" system. This system maintains the necessary humidity for equestrian sports. Quartz sand with geotextile will be the final and main covering of the sports field.

      Two stables with stalls and shower stalls for 30 heads each adjoin the arena. Nearby, two storage facilities of 720 cubic meters for hay and grain are almost ready. Previously, the complex lacked space for their proper storage.

      The equestrian club opened in the village of Mirny in 2007. On an area of more than 26 hectares, there is a stable for 60 heads, an equestrian center, and an outdoor arena. Currently, the stable houses 64 horses, six of which are private. Among the breeds are Arabian purebred, English thoroughbred, Hanoverian, Holsteiner, Austrian horses, and ponies.

      Training at the club is conducted by seven instructors, three of whom specialize in adaptive sports. Sections for show jumping, trick riding, and Olympic discipline – dressage are attended daily by about 50 athletes and equestrian enthusiasts. Regular classes are also held here, attended by 24 children with disabilities. Another 16 people visit the club daily for one-time classes.

      The inspection was also attended by the first deputy head of the executive committee Azat Nigmatzyanov, head of the Vakhitovsky and Privolzhsky districts Albert Salikhov, chairman of the committee for physical culture and sports Linar Garipov, head of the capital construction and reconstruction department Marat Samigulin, director of the equestrian sports complex Ilnur Gafiyatov, and others.
