War correspondent Kubatyán spoke about how books on the Special Military Operation are written.
Kubatyan particularly noted the involvement of Tatarstan in the common cause. As part of the XII Red Square Book Festival, the Tatar Book Publishing House recorded an interview with writer, military correspondent for "Komsomolskaya Pravda," and participant in the special military operation Grigory Kubatyan. The material was created for a creative school within the framework of the II Open Literary Competition of a patriotic orientation "Geroilar yanäşädä" - "Heroes Nearby," according to information from the publisher's post on MAX. In the conversation, Kubatyan shared his vision, experience, and thoughts that would be useful for those who write on this topic or are just planning to do so. He talked about how plots for books about the special military operation are found. "If we talk about the topic of the special military operation, then, as with any topic, you need to know it, of course. Understand what you want to write about, and if you are not fighting directly yourself, you need to somehow get closer to this military theme. There are several methods: you can volunteer, you can deliver humanitarian aid, you can work with the civilian population that has needs in the new territories, or you can help in a hospital and talk to the wounded, including those who have returned home. Sometimes, people need not so much consolation as just attention, socialization, communication, because a person returning from war always asks themselves the question: 'Was it all in vain?' - this cannot be avoided," the war correspondent shared. Kubatyan mentioned that his first book "Autumn of the Volunteer" is based on his direct experience of participating in the special military operation, and he tried to write as truthfully as possible, without unnecessary pathos. His next book is a collection of reports for "Komsomolskaya Pravda," which contains a huge number of amazing stories. According to him, sometimes you do not expect such a degree of openness from people: "You come with questions, they see you for the first time, and suddenly people are ready to confess, as if to a priest. Perhaps this happens because they live on the edge of life and death and carry a lot of pain within them that they want to share with someone," he said. Kubatyan particularly noted the involvement of Tatarstan in the common cause. "I am very glad that Tatarstan has so deeply and seriously engaged in the common cause of our country. I am very glad that there are books not only in Russian but also in Tatar about the special military operation. In general, I often meet Tatars on the front lines - these are people who are simultaneously desperate, brave, smart, and at the same time maintain a sense of humor, no matter how difficult the situations they find themselves in. I am glad that these books are being published, that this literary work is being done, and that Tatar heroes will certainly not be forgotten thanks to you, the writers of Tatarstan," he said. We remind you that the acceptance of works for the II Open Literary Competition of a patriotic orientation "Geroilar yanäşädä" - "Heroes Nearby" continues. The organizer of the Competition is the Republican Agency for Press and Mass Communications "Tatmedia" in conjunction with JSC "TATMEDIA" and the "Tatar Book Publishing House." The competition is held to promote traditional spiritual and moral values and patriotism. Literary works written since 2022 (not previously submitted to this or other competitions) that reflect the selflessness, valor, heroism, and patriotism of the natives of Tatarstan in solving the tasks of the Special Military Operation are accepted for participation in the competition.
