Residents of Tatarstan have started to protect their property from fraudsters twice as often.

      Since the beginning of the current year, 2026, residents of Tatarstan have established more than 95,000 bans on the registration of real estate transactions without the personal participation of the owner, compared to about 40,000 for the same period last year. This was reported by the press service of the Rosreestr Office for the Republic of Tatarstan. According to this indicator, the Republic of Tatarstan entered the top five regions with the highest number of such applications. The top four places were occupied by the Moscow region – 296,000 applications, Moscow – 271,000, St. Petersburg – 141,000, and Krasnodar Krai – 132,000. "Establishing a ban on transactions without personal participation is an effective tool for protecting real estate from fraudulent actions. This year, more than 95,000 citizens have used this service. This is more than twice the figures for the same period last year," noted the head of the Rosreestr Office for Tatarstan, Azat Zyabbarov. The head of the agency suggested that the significant increase in the number of applications may be related to greater public awareness of the provision of state services. It is also a response to the increase in the number of attempts at fraud, which have become more sophisticated and widespread, he added. To make the specified entry in the Unified State Register of Real Estate (EGRN), it is necessary to submit the corresponding application to Rosreestr. This can be done in the following ways: – personally visit the nearest MFC office and fill out the application using a specially approved form, and you must have an identity document with you; – through the state services portal (the user account must be verified). The procedure is free and available throughout Russia. At the same time, the entry is valid indefinitely and can only be removed based on a personal application from the owner or by law (for example, upon the transfer of rights), clarified the Rosreestr for Tatarstan.
