A resident of Kazan lost 32,000 rubles due to a fake lottery.
A 21-year-old resident of Kazan believed in a contest with a "guaranteed win." According to the contest rules, the winner was supposed to be the one who transferred the largest amount, and in return, would get their money back plus an additional 20,000 rubles. Initially, the girl sent a trial payment of 50 rubles. After that, she was contacted and informed that she was first in the participants' ranking. Encouraged, she transferred about 32,000 rubles to the scammers. Soon, she was asked for a number to transfer the winnings, but she never received any money. The criminals cited a technical failure and changed their number the next day. A criminal case has been initiated under part 2 of article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation "Fraud." The Kazan police warn: do not transfer money to strangers and do not believe in "easy" winnings! If you become a victim of scammers, call "02" or "112."
