In Naberezhnye Chelny, a new sport is being developed: sitting volleyball.

      Sitting volleyball is a type of volleyball for athletes with musculoskeletal disabilities, a Paralympic sport that has been taken up by residents of Chalyabinsk, participants of the special military operation. Training sessions for them take place three times a week at sports school No. 11. Coach Ilgiz Akhmetshin shares that the first classes began in April of this year, and in May, the city’s team, which was decided to be named "Phoenix," went to competitions in Kazan, where they took second place among six teams. As a result, several individuals were selected for the Republic of Tatarstan team. The "Lion Heart" fund for supporting athletes with disabilities presented volleyball uniforms to participants of the special military operation on Veterans Day. As noted by the fund's president Elvira Ivleva, together with her husband Evgeny Ivlev, they decided to establish a special fund to support athletes with disabilities called "Lion Heart."

      "We will support teams with disabilities: both adult and children's teams, as well as children who find themselves in difficult situations. We sew clothes very well, but we cannot provide these sports teams with everything they need alone. These teams need equipment, sports grounds, and much more, so we are asking for support from other organizations," Elvira Ivleva said.

      Evgeny Ivlev presented the coach with a set of sports equipment. This includes 13 sets of volleyball uniforms.

      It should be noted that great attention is paid to supporting participants of the special military operation in Naberezhnye Chelny, with the city mayor Nail Magdeev personally participating in events. This was mentioned at the presentation by the head of the information policy and public relations department Rimma Mukhametzyanova, who thanked the owner of "Ivlev Pride" Evgeny Ivlev for supporting the team:

      Words of gratitude to Evgeny Ivlev were expressed by the chairman of the "City Council of Veterans of the Special Military Operation," a city council deputy, Colonel Shamil Ayupov. He presented the entrepreneur with a letter of thanks from the "City Council of Veterans of the Special Military Operation."
