The Autonomous Non-Profit Organization "Digital Economy" together with the Ministry of Digital Development of Russia, the Ministry of Education of Russia, and leading Russian technology companies has launched a new season of the all-Russian project for children's camps "Day of Digital". This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Digital Development of the Republic of Tatarstan. The project is implemented in support of the national project "Data Economy" and for the fifth year introduces schoolchildren to IT professions, modern technologies, and the basics of digital literacy. Classes are held in a game format during the summer holidays. In the new season, educational materials have been prepared by the Charitable Foundation "Contribution to the Future", the company "1C", as well as the companies "Yandex" and VK. VK will introduce participants to modern digital technologies, cybersecurity issues, and digital literacy, while "1C" has prepared materials dedicated to user interfaces. The team of the Charitable Foundation "Contribution to the Future" has developed a series of events dedicated to artificial intelligence. The program includes a quiz "Digital Skills" with tasks of various formats, a collection of six tabletop mini-games about technologies, a team quest simulation "Assembly Protocol", a role-playing game "Tech Startup", a floor game "Path to AI", as well as thematic classes "Technologies for Life" and "Learn Honestly", dedicated to the ethical use of neural networks in education and project activities.
The director of the department for training personnel for the digital economy of the Autonomous Non-Profit Organization "Digital Economy", Yulia Goryachkina, noted that digital literacy is becoming one of the basic competencies. According to her, for the fifth year, the project has helped make schoolchildren's acquaintance with modern technologies accessible and interesting. She emphasized that together with government structures and technology companies, the organizers create a clear educational environment in which children can learn more about IT professions, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and other areas of the digital economy. Goryachkina added that the project aims to engage schoolchildren in studying technologies and show the opportunities that the Russian IT industry opens up. All methodological materials for the new season are already available for free download on the official website of the "Day of Digital" project.
