The infection density was 0.3 specimens per kilogram of product. "Information about the contamination of the batch has been sent to the territorial office of the Rosselkhoznadzor for the Republic of Tatarstan for action. The research results have already been entered into the FGIS 'Grain' and 'Vesta'," said the head of the testing laboratory of the branch of the Federal State Budgetary Institution "Center for Assessment of Agricultural Products" in Tatarstan, Ildar Yakupov. The Rosselkhoznadzor issued a warning to the grain owner. The owner is now required to disinfect the batch by fumigation and undergo a re-examination in an accredited laboratory. Since the beginning of the year (as of June 30), specialists from the branch have identified 18 cases of contamination of wheat, barley, and soybeans in the domestic market. Among the detected grain pests are the mite, the granary weevil, the red flour beetle, and the flour weevil. At the same time, export batches remain clean. Since the beginning of 2026, laboratory specialists have checked over 145.3 thousand tons of quarantine products for export. No cases of contamination have been recorded in export directions.
