      Today, a round table was held at the State Council on the topic: "Artificial Intelligence in Education: Opportunities and Risks." The event, which took place via videoconference, was attended by members of the expert councils of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, members of the Youth Parliament under the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan, university, college, technical school, and school teachers, as well as experts in digitalization and artificial intelligence. In his welcoming speech, a member of the Expert Council of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation on education and youth policy, Chairman of the Education Committee of "OPORA RUSSIA," Roman Sultanov noted that the field of artificial intelligence, especially in education, requires regulation. He emphasized the importance of dialogue with youth, as young people are the most active users of AI. "Today we are holding our first meeting to discuss approaches to this agenda. It is obvious that the need for regulation in the field of AI will grow," Roman Sultanov stressed. Member of the Youth Parliament Commission under the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan for External Relations and Information Development Maxim Tarasov spoke about the application of artificial intelligence in the education of Tatarstan. He outlined what solutions are already being implemented and how they work in practice. Maxim Tarasov mentioned the services "Gosprompt" and "AI Znayka," focusing on how they assist teachers in their pedagogical activities. They are used for developing lesson scenarios, compiling characteristics, and solving other tasks. The experience and prospects of using AI in educational work were discussed by the Chair of the Youth Parliament Commission under the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan for Education and Culture, Deputy Director for Educational Work of Kazan School No. 114, Victoria Mukhtarova. During the round table meeting, organized by the Youth Parliament under the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, participants discussed issues of digitalization of educational processes and analyzed the risks of using artificial intelligence, including data leakage, reduced critical thinking, dissemination of misinformation, and unequal access to technology.
