24 participants of "PolitZavod" will try themselves as political speakers
The Tatarstan regional branch of the "Young Guard," with the support of the "United Russia" party, held the qualifying stage of the "Political Battles" as part of the federal project "PolitZavod." The main goal of the "Political Battles" is to reveal the potential of young people who can argue their position, engage in constructive dialogue, and propose solutions to relevant socio-political issues. The qualifying stage took place over two days at the Ministry of Youth Affairs of the Republic of Tatarstan. On the first day, 30 people participated in the debates, and on the second day, 50. As a result of the performances, 24 participants advanced to the semifinals. Each round was dedicated to a specific topic. Participants delivered individual speeches and then answered questions from the expert commission. The discussions centered on issues such as mandatory volunteering in universities and colleges, the involvement of employers in shaping educational programs, attracting labor migrants to address workforce shortages, and other relevant topics. On the first day, the participants' work was evaluated by Kamolidin Bobokhonov, director of the ANO "Tatarstan - Territory of Opportunities," Yunel Abrahmanov, a specialist in the youth affairs department of the Kazan Committee for Children and Youth, and Rif Khusnutdinov, head of the Kazan local branch of the "Young Guard of United Russia." On the second day, the expert commission included Rinat Fazylov, deputy chairman of the State Council Committee of the Republic of Tatarstan on legality and law enforcement, Tanzilya Rakova, a deputy of the Kazan City Duma and executive secretary of the Kazan local branch of the "United Russia" party, and Yevgeniya Kotsar, a deputy of the Kazan City Duma. Rinat Fazylov noted that the debates give young people the opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge, public speaking skills, and ability to argue their positions confidently. Tanzilya Rakova emphasized that she was glad to see active and caring youth ready to propose initiatives aimed at the development of the republic.
Yevgeniya Kotsar highlighted that such projects help young people develop critical thinking and the culture of public discussion: "There were times when we disagreed with the opinions of the speakers, but it is encouraging that despite this, they confidently defended their positions." The semifinals of the "Political Battles" will take place on July 6 at the "Tatmedia" press center. At this stage, 24 participants will try themselves as political speakers and demonstrate their ability to speak confidently in front of the camera and lead public discussions. As a result, 8 people will advance to the final of the project. After the project concludes, all participants of "PolitZavod" will head to the All-Russian Youth Forum "Guards," which will take place from July 27 to August 2.
