A resident of Kazan became a victim of scammers while trying to book a trip.
A 52-year-old man was looking for a travel option from Kazan to Moscow on a popular ride-sharing service. After finding a suitable ad, he contacted the driver via messenger. The interlocutor sent a link supposedly for payment of the service. The man filled out the proposed form and entered his bank card details—after that, over 36,000 rubles were withdrawn from his account. Immediately after that, the driver stopped responding. A criminal case has been initiated regarding this matter. The Kazan police warn: do not share your bank card details in correspondence, do not give confirmation codes for transactions and passwords for card actions to unknown individuals.
