      In the courthouse of the city of Zainsk, a bailiff from the enforcement of established order in court activities (OUPDS) of the Zainsk branch of the Federal Bailiff Service of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan detained a local resident who was wanted at the federal level for failure to pay alimony. The woman had accumulated a debt of over one million rubles to her minor child.

      The malicious alimony defaulter had long evaded her obligations: she did not reside at her registered address and ignored notifications from the bailiffs about the need to pay off her debt and appear for a meeting. This led to a search case being opened against her. The detention occurred by chance. After receiving SMS messages about a summons to a court hearing, the woman, while intoxicated, came to the court herself to find out the reason. During the security check, she was recognized by the bailiff from the enforcement of established order in court activities (OUPDS).

      Previously, a protocol for an administrative offense was drawn up against the debtor under part 1 of article 5.35.1 of the Administrative Offenses Code of the Russian Federation ("Failure to pay funds for the maintenance of children or disabled parents").

      The materials of the case were sent to the magistrate, who, upon reviewing them, found the citizen guilty and imposed a penalty of 150 hours of compulsory work. However, she also ignored this court decision. For failing to comply with the penalty in the administrative case, the woman was sentenced to 10 days of arrest. In addition, the bailiff charged the woman under article 17.8 of the Administrative Offenses Code of the Russian Federation (Obstruction of the lawful activities of an official of the authority authorized to perform functions for the enforcement of executive documents and ensuring the established order of court activities).

      If the debtor continues to neglect her obligations, she risks the initiation of a criminal case.
