      The utility services of Kazan have eliminated the consequences of a heavy downpour that occurred today in the city. According to meteorologists, in 20 minutes – from 14:10 to 14:30 – about 5 mm of precipitation fell in the capital of Tatarstan, the ten-day norm is 32 mm, and the monthly norm is 62.6 mm. To eliminate flooding, three teams from the Municipal Unitary Enterprise "City Improvement" were sent to the streets of the city. Specialists cleared the stormwater drains of debris and grass that hindered the drainage of water. Currently, flooding has been eliminated on Victory Avenue, and on the streets of Richard Sorge, Gabdulla Tukay, and other areas. As the utility workers note, the main reason for the accumulation of water is the clogging of storm drains with household waste, which the water flows carry to the grates. After cleaning, drainage is restored – water flows away unobstructed. Residents of the city are asked to report any issues with the storm sewer system to the dispatch service of the Municipal Unitary Enterprise "City Improvement" at the phone number: +7(843)222-92-82.
