The Governor of the Rostov region, Yuri Slyusar, reported two injured crew members and the evacuation from one of the vessels. There was no fuel spill, and the injured refused to go to the hospital. A similar incident occurred earlier when the Russian gas carrier "Arctic Metagas" was attacked off the coast of Malta. The crew of thirty was rescued, and the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation opened a criminal case for terrorism. Investigators examined the black box data, and the injured sailors successfully underwent treatment. Furthermore, on the night of June 5, 2026, drones attacked the cargo vessels "Natra" and "Zircon" in the Taganrog Bay of the Sea of Azov. The ships were en route from Turkey to Rostov-on-Don, and as a result of the strikes, five crew members were killed.
