      The number of complaints from residents of Kazan regarding the condition of courtyards has noticeably decreased in recent years, said the head of the city executive committee, Rustem Gafarov, at a meeting in the mayor's office. Over the 7 years of the "Our Courtyard" program, more than 3,000 houses have been transformed — this has affected about 700,000 residents of Kazan. "Many have already forgotten what basic problems we had to solve 15 years ago. These include dark courtyards, broken asphalt, and simply the absence of children's sports grounds. And today, along with the renovation of apartment buildings, we have achieved a powerful effect. We see this in the statistics: the intensity of complaints in this area, regarding the condition of courtyards and houses, has radically changed and, of course, decreased," Gafarov said.

      In addition, it was reported at the meeting that a record number of courtyards are being improved simultaneously in the Vakhitovsky and Privolzhsky districts of Kazan since the start of the program. Currently, repairs are underway in 104 courtyard areas. "This is a record volume of work for the entire duration of the program," noted the head of the districts, Albert Salikhov. This year, nearly 25,000 residents of the districts will see changes near their homes. Work is being carried out on an area of more than 167,000 square meters.

      The "Our Courtyard" program has been in effect since 2020. Over 6 years, 2,754 courtyard areas have been improved in Kazan, where about 600,000 residents live. This is 79% of the courtyards requiring repairs, and taking into account the current year, the completion rate will reach 91%. There are 301 courtyards remaining for 2027.

      In the past five years, over 5,800 courtyards have been improved in Tatarstan at a total cost of 54 billion rubles. The program included courtyards of apartment buildings built before 2014, as well as those where the courtyard repair program has not been implemented since 2014, and the condition of the asphalt surface was recognized as unsatisfactory based on the 2019 inventory results.
