Tatarstan has begun major repairs on the ambulance station in Rubizhne.
Specialists from the Republic of Tatarstan have completed dismantling work in the main building of the emergency medical station in Rubezhnoe and have begun work on two garage blocks. In the main building, preparations for major repairs have been fully completed: heating, water supply, sewage, and power supply systems have been dismantled, internal structures have been cleared, a foundation for a new pavement has been prepared, and the foundation for the future heating point has been laid. In the garage blocks, internal dismantling has been completed, new roofing is being installed, and rooms are being prepared for further construction and installation work. Meanwhile, the ambulance station continues to operate as usual. Builders have to carry out work in stages to avoid interrupting the emergency medical service. "The project provides for a comprehensive update of the facility. We will completely replace engineering networks, carry out internal and external finishing, install new insulated roofing, modern power supply systems, fire alarms, video surveillance, access control, and a computer network. After the work is completed, the station will fully meet modern requirements," said Arthur Shamsutdinov, the deputy director for construction. The project includes not only major repairs of the buildings but also improvements to the working conditions of the station staff. For the first time, a rest room for ambulance drivers will be equipped in one of the garage blocks. It will have eight sleeping places, a shower, a restroom, and a utility area where staff can recover between calls. According to the builders, such conditions did not exist at the station before. Additionally, after the repairs are completed, the station will be furnished with new furniture and office equipment, a small dining room for staff will be set up, and the hospital campus will be landscaped and paved. Currently, more than 20 specialists from the Republic of Tatarstan are working on the site daily. As the transition to the main construction and installation work progresses, the number of the team is planned to be increased to 50 people.
