Beaten and robbed of a television for the spent 500 rubles: a sentence has been passed in Nizhnekamsk for the robbery of a neighbor.

      The Nizhnekamsk City Prosecutor's Office supported the state prosecution in a criminal case against a 33-year-old local resident. He was found guilty under paragraph "g" part 2 of article 161 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (robbery committed with the use of violence not dangerous to life or health).

      During the court proceedings, it was established that the motive for the crime was a domestic conflict between neighbors. The defendant gave his acquaintance 500 rubles to buy alcoholic beverages, but that person left and did not return for a long time. After several hours, the defendant went to his neighbor's house and found him drinking the purchased alcohol. Learning that the victim had no money left, the offender struck him several times and then openly stole the neighbor's television and carried it to his home. The next morning, the convicted man asked another neighbor to pawn the television, concealing the fact of the theft from him. However, the plan did not succeed: the pawn shop refused to accept the equipment, after which the intermediary sold the television to a random passerby on the street and handed over the proceeds to the organizer of the crime.

      In court, the man fully admitted his guilt and expressed remorse for his actions. He compensated the damage in full.

      The court sentenced the guilty party to 1 year and 6 months of conditional imprisonment with the same probation period.
