      The Committee of the Republic of Tatarstan for the Protection of Cultural Heritage Sites has included a new site in the List of Identified Monuments — "Isolated Barrow 1 near the village of Novozarechensk" in the Bavlinsky District. According to specialists, this stone-earth mound represents significant scientific value as a source on the material culture of the peoples who lived in the territory of modern Tatarstan from the Bronze Age to the Middle Ages. The monument is located 400 meters from the Kandyz River, between the village of Novozarechensk and the village of Dmitrievka. The mound has a flattened rounded shape, its height reaches half a meter, and its diameter is 9 meters. The surface is densely covered with steppe grass. In the center, there is a round depression with a diameter of 2 meters and a depth of 0.3 meters. The Committee's order has approved the boundaries and protection regime of the site. Any types of economic activity are prohibited on its territory, except for archaeological research. It should be noted that this is not the first find in the area: in 2024, scientists studied the Bronze Age settlement "Isergapovo-I," and nearby, the "Isergapovsky burial mound" was put under protection.
